The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In Gardens of Bliss: 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 and spreading shade 30 and waters gushing, 31 and abundant fruits, 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 So made them as maidens. 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 for those on the Right, 38

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
