Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allah. His is the dominion, and to Him belong all the praises and thanks, and He is Able to do all things. 1 He it is Who created you, but one of you is an unbeliever and another of you is a believer; and Allah sees what you do. 2 He created the heavens and earth in truth and formed you and perfected your forms; and to Him is the [final] destination. 3 He knows whatever is in the heavens and the earth. He knows all that you conceal and all that you reveal. God is aware of what is in your hearts. 4 Has there not come to you the tidings of those that disbelieved before, then tasted the mischief of their action, and there yet awaits them a painful chastisement? 5 That was because their messengers (from Allah) kept coming unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they said: Shall mere mortals guide us? So they disbelieved and turned away, and Allah was independent (of them). Allah is Absolute, Owner of Praise. 6 Those who disbelieve assert that they shall not be raised. Say thou 'Yea! by my Lord, ye shall surely be raised, and then unto you shall be declared that which ye have worked; and that is for Allah easy. 7 Therefore accept faith in Allah and His Noble Messenger and the light which We have sent down; and Allah is Well Aware of what you do. 8 (You shall come to know that) when He will assemble you on the Day of Gathering. That shall be the Day (to determine) mutual gains and losses. Whoever believes in Allah and acts righteously, Allah will have his evil deeds expunged and will admit him to Gardens beneath which rivers flow. Therein they shall abide forever. That is the supreme triumph. 9 But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are owners of the Fire; they will abide therein - a hapless journey's end! 10
