Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
