In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 created man out of a germ-cell 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
