The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
