Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? 24 When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' 29 They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." 30 ۞ [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 31 They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. 32 so that we bring down stones of clay upon them 33 “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” 34 We saved all the faithful in the town. 35 And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. 36 And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. 37 And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 which turned everything it approached into dust. 42 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Thamud. They were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while.” 43 But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: 44 and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46
