Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth extols the glory of Allah, the Sovereign, the Holy, the All- Mighty, the All-Wise. 1 It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered a messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;- 2 and (He has also) sent him to those others who have not yet joined them. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 3 That is the bounty of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty. 4 The example of those who were entrusted with the Taurat, and did not carry out its commands, is like the donkey carrying books; what a wretched example is of the people who denied the signs of Allah; and Allah does not guide the unjust. 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O you Jews! If you pretend that you are friends of Allah, to the exclusion of (all) other mankind, then long for death if you are truthful." 6 But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers. 7 Say: 'Surely death, from which you flee, shall encounter you; then you shall be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, and He will tell you that you have been doing.' 8
