The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
