The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
