Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
