Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
