The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 and gathered his people together 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
