Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
