Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? 24 When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' 25 Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. 26 He placed it before them. Then he said, "Why are you not eating?" 27 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. 28 His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" 29 "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 That we may send upon them stones of clay, 33 Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." 34 Then we brought forth such believers as were there. 35 but We found only one Muslim house. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. 38 In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 39 So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. 40 And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. 41 that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
