In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise. 1 His is the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He giveth life and He causeth to die; and He is over everything Potent. 2 He is the First and the Last, the Outward and the Inward; He has knowledge of everything. 3 He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself on the Throne. He knows all that enters the earth and all that comes forth from it, and all that comes down from the heaven and all that goes up to it. He is with you wherever you are. Allah sees all that you do. 4 His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters. 5 He causes the night to enter in upon the day, and causes the day to enter in upon the night, and He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts. 6 Believe in Allah and in His Messenger and expend of what He has entrusted to you. A great reward awaits those of you who believe and spend their wealth. 7 And what aileth you that ye believe not in Allah whereas the apostle is calling you to believe in your Lord, and He hath already taken your bond, if ye are going to be believers? 8 It is He Who sends down clear verses upon His chosen bondman, in order to take you out from the realms of darkness towards light; and indeed Allah is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful upon you. 9 Why do you not spend for the cause of God when to Him belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those who spend for the cause of God and fight before victory will have higher positions than those who spend for the cause of God and fight after victory. However, to both parties God has promised good rewards. God is Well Aware of what you do. 10
