Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
