The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
