It is He who gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, but only few of you give thanks. 78 And it is He Who has spread you in the earth, and towards Him you are to be raised. 79 It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand? 80 Nay, but they say the like of that which said the men of old; 81 they say: "What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 82 Our fathers and we have been given such promises before. These are no more than ancient legends." 83 Say: "Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 84 They will say: Allah's. Say: Will you not then mind? 85 Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, 'God's.' Say: 'Will you not then be godfearing?' 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." Say: "Then why are you so deluded?" 89 Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars. 90 God has never given birth to a son and there is no other god besides Him. If there were, each god would have taken away his creatures and claimed superiority over the others. God is too exalted to be as they believe Him to be. 91 The Knower of the unseen and the seen, so may He be exalted above what they associate (with Him). 92
