۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 What, do we then not die 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
