(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 Such is their noble story. The pious ones will certainly have the best place to return. 49 Gardens Everlasting, whereof the portals remain opened for them. 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
