۞ Many as the angels be in heaven their intercession will not avail in the least without God's permission for whomsoever He please and approve. 26 Behold, it is [only] such as do not [really] believe in the life to come that regard the angels as female beings; 27 While they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and verily, guess is no substitute for the truth. 28 So leave alone those who turn away from the remembrance of Us and who seek nothing but the life of the world – 29 That is their goal of knowledge; surely your Lord knows best him who goes astray from His path and He knows best him who follows the right direction. 30 And to Allah only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, in order to repay those who do evil for what they have done, and give an excellent reward to those who do good. 31 Those who avoid the heinous sins and indecencies, save lesser offences surely thy Lord is wide in His forgiveness. Very well He knows you, when He produced you from the earth, and when you were yet unborn in your mothers' wombs; therefore hold not yourselves purified; God knows very well him who is godfearing. 32
