Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
