Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
