Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
