Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
