T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
