And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
