The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
