Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
