The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
