And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a Reminder, and indeed for the cautious is a fine return, 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 Yea, such! - then shall they taste it,- a boiling fluid, and a fluid dark, murky, intensely cold!- 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
