We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left, 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 And then the Trumpet was blown. This is the day of the promised chastisement. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures." 29
