Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
