The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 And the foremost in the race, the foremost in the race: 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 And a few of later ages, 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 facing one another. 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And with flesh of fowls from that which they desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 The reward for what they did. 24 They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And those on the Right Hand, Who will be those on the Right Hand? 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 and banana trees, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 near to flowing water 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 And have made them virgins. 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For the Companions of the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
