The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
