Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
