Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he became afraid of them. They said: “Fear not,” and announced to him the good news of (the birth of) a boy endowed with knowledge. 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? 31 They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, 32 That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." 34 So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. 35 – and We did not find there any, apart from a single house of Muslims – 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. 37 And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. 38 But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." 39 So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 that left nothing it came upon, but made it as stuff decayed. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 after they had turned with disdain from their Sustainer's commandment - whereupon the thunderbolt of punishment overtook them while they were [helplessly] looking on: 44 for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. 45 And [thus, too, We destroyed] Noah's people aforetime: for they were iniquitous folk. 46
