Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
