The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
