۞ And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. 21 On the day when they shall see the angels, there shall be no joy on that day for the guilty, and they shall say: It is a forbidden thing totally prohibited. 22 And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust. 23 Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest; 24 And on the day when the heaven shall burst asunder with the clouds, and the angels shall be sent down descending (in ranks). 25 the Kingdom that day, the true Kingdom, shall belong to the All-merciful and it shall be a day harsh for the unbelievers. 26 The unjust man will bite at his hand and say, "Would that I had stood by the Messenger! 27 "Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! 28 He led me astray from the Warning after it had come to me. Satan always betrays man. 29 Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense." 30 Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. 31 Those who deny the truth say, "Why was the Quran not sent down to him in a single revelation?" We sent it in this manner, so that We might strengthen your heart. We gave it to you in gradual revelation. 32 We will support you with the Truth and the best interpretation whenever the infidels argue against you. 33 Those who will be gathered into Gehenna (Hell) upon their faces shall be in the worst in place, and have gone further astray from the Path. 34
