S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Sad. By the renowned Qur'an, 1 Verily those who disbelieve are in vainglory and schism. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 Now they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Does he claim that all the deities are [but] one God? Verily, a most strange thing is this!" 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 We heard not thereof in the later faith; this is naught but an invention. 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Or is it that theirs is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend by any 10 This is only a small army out of the several armies that will suffer defeat here. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes, 12 And the Thamud, the people of Lot, as well as the dwellers of the Wood, had denied. These were the hordes. 13 There was not one but belied the apostles, wherefore justified was My wrath. 14
