We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
