And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
