The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created the human 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 25

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
