Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No! By the moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 As a warning unto men, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
