Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
