The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
