The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The Clatterer (the Day of Judgement)! 1 What is the crash? 2 And what could make thee conceive what that sudden calamity will be? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains shall be as loosened wool. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 will live a pleasant life, 7 but he whose deeds weigh light in the Balance 8 the Abyss shall be his home. 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 (It is) a hot blazing Fire! 11
