The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 We destroyed the others 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
