And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
